How To Use Bath Melts
Bath Melts can be a great way to moisturise dry, dull, and generally unhappy skin- without the use of any lotions and creams! Those with very sensitive skin may find that the over-use of bottled moisturiser can lead to more irritation.
Our Handmade Bath Melts are great for dry and sensitive skin, even skin conditions!
For general sensitivity and dry skin, less is more! WebMD suggests that we should be using a dime sized (10 pence piece) amount of your favourite moisturiser. If you suffer from sensitive skin, over-moisturising your face and body with heavy creams can lead to a further imbalance in your skin’s natural moisture barrier. However, if you suffer from skin conditions, such as Eczema, it is important to hydrate your skin with a lipid-based moisturiser to repair the skin’s natural moisture barrier. It is advised that a moisturiser should be used after bathing or showering if you suffer from Eczema as water will encourage water to leave your skin, leaving it feeling irritated, tight and inflamed!
Oil Based Moisturiser; The best moisturiser for Eczema and Sensitive Skin
The more oil in a moisturizer, the better it usually is at treating eczema. Why not incorporate our hydrating and gentle Cupcake Bath Creamer and melt skin-softening Cocoa Butter and soothing Coconut Oil into your bath. If you are suffering with a break out of Eczema, other skin conditions, or your skin feels in need of some extra love; our Bath Melts will encourage hydration and help your complexion feel more comfortable.
How to use your Bath Melt
The clue is in the name… Pop your Bath Melt into a warm running bath to release an abundance of Coconut Oil and Shea Butter; to moisturise your skin and leave you smelling delicious! Sit back and soak in a dreamy, creamy bath of skin-loving goodness.
After your bath time, hop out feeling totally zen. Your skin will sing with happiness, treat it even more by smoothing over some of your favourite body moisturiser for long lasting comfortable skin.
Other great uses for Bath Melts
Bath Melts can be used to pamper your nails post manicure.
Life is not perfect, but your nails can be!
Whether you’ve been to visit your favourite nail tech, or you’ve opted for some DIY creativity, give your nails their final flourish by coating your cuticles in softening Shea-Butter from our Bath Creamer Cupcakes! Work your bath melt between your finger tips to melt the nourishing oils. A little touch of our handmade Bath Melts can be used in place of cuticle oil, to protect the nails and prevent the cuticle from drying and becoming damaged. A little goes a long way; you will find that a slight application directly to the nails will be enough. It is not recommended that Bath Melts are used as an all-over moisturiser for the hands, just on targeted areas in moderation; to give your cuticles an extra kick!
Why not treat your feet? Pop a Bath Melt into a bowl of warm water to soften your skin and give your toes a real treat.
Walk or dance yourself into a world of soft and supple feet with our Bath Creamer Cupcakes!
Dry or cracked heels can be a real pain in the… well, feet! Not only can dry heels be really uncomfortable, they can make a pesky appearance when wearing your favourite shoes- remember those showstoppers you hid from your partner for 3 months? It’s time for their debut. Banish dry skin with our Bath Melts!
Melt a Bath Creamer Cupcake into a bowl of water, you can add a drop of your favourite essential oil if you wish! Sit back, relax, and soak your feet for as long as you please. A good book and a glass of G&T is also recommended…
Pat dry and moisturise with a cocoa-butter based moisturiser. Now, go and dance with bare-feet!
For a Slather an intense moisturiser all over your feet. Cover your feet in cling-film and pop on a pair of large fluffy socks and leave for an hour before soaking your feet as above.
Coconut Oil can be a great natural glitter adhesive!
Let out your inner Unicorn…
Melt a little bit of our Unicorn and Rainbows Bath Creamer Cupcake in between your fingertips and apply to your cheek bones. Gently dab on some beauty glitter and you’re ready to go.
Remember, use sparingly and only apply to areas you wish to be glittered. If you have applied makeup, the natural oils in our bath melt, the oil may act as a makeup remover so be sure before you sparkle! Keep away from eyes and use only on non-irritable, unbroken skin.
On-spot intensive moisturiser for knees, elbows, and toes after tanning
Elbows, shoulders, knees and toes…
Are you a sun-worshiper or a bronzed babe in a bottle? If you’re not ready to give up your goddess-like complexion and feel you need to top up your tan over winter, reach for that bottle of extra-dark and we wont tell if you don’t.
No matter how much of a pro you are at blending and making sure your back is covered- seriously, how DO you reach your back?! - there are always giveaways that your tan is far from natural.
Make sure you work in excess tanning lotion into the following areas:
- Knuckles/ Fingertips
Use one of our Bath Melts as an on-spot intensive moisturiser and work into the problem areas above right after you tan. Gently buff off with a dry cotton pad to avoid any #FakeTanFails!
Protect your hands this winter. Coconut Oil and Shea Butter can help shield your skin from the cold weather.
Winter is coming…
If you’re lucky enough to live in a country like the UK, where it could be mistaken for November in July, your hands have likely suffered from the cold and have shown you their anger in the form of dry, cracked skin.
Knuckles and finger joints in particular can become very sore as the cold weather plays havoc on the skin’s lovely natural moisture barrier. Coat them up before you leave the house with a small amount of your favourite Bath Creamer Cupcake. Packed with lashings of Coconut Oil and deliciously hydrating Shea Butter, your hands will thank you for a spot of TLC, a natural barrier between them and the cold.
